How to Create Stylish Icon/Button

Well you must have seen such icons or buttons which look very stylish and cool. In this tutorial I am going to tell you how to create stylish icons or you can say button like this

They are very easy to make. So lets start it.
Note : I will use (U) for telling the shortcuts.




Step 1-

First of all open a new document of size 400*400 (Ctrl + N). Use Rulers (Ctrl + R) in this case and change them to Percentage scale by right clicking on it. Then select Ellipse tool (U) and start from 10%,10% (x,y) to 90%,90% like this.

Step 2-

After that double click on Ellipse Layer so formed and select Gradient option and do settings like this (Click to enlarge this image if you can't see the settings)

Press Ok. And it will look like this

Step 3-

After that again select Ellipse Tool and make a circle starting from 14%,14% to 86%,86% and fill it with green color using Paint Bucket Tool (G) and it will look like this.

Step 4-

I know it doesn't look like a button, but just wait it will look like a button soon.
Now select some of the portion of that Ellipse using Elliptical Marquee Tool (M) like this

Then select and use Dodge Tool (O) keeping this settings (Brush: 60px, Range : Midtones, Exposure: 50%) and it will look like this

Step 5-

Then again select and use Marquee Tool and right click on the selection and select Select Inverse option. After that select Burn Tool (O) keeping this settings (Brush: 60px, Range : Midtones, Exposure: 50%).
Then Deselect (Ctrl + D) everything.
And it will look like this

Step 6-

Now we are finally there. Now Stroke the current layer by right clicking on the layer and keeping these settings (Click to enlarge this image if you can't see the settings)

Now make a shape on it like I did (I stroked it also, but its an option for you) like this

Step 7-

Now give Drop Shadow Effect by double clicking on that 'shape' layer and applying these settings (Click to enlarge this image if you can't see the settings)

And it will look like this

Extra

Well if you want to try something different, then see this.
First of all merge all layers and then select Free Transform (Ctrl + T) and then right click on it and select Distort option.
After that move it to get your desired shape and then duplicate the layer. I did like this

  1. Nice, PJ aur tum tho jaante hi ho main kon hu........and this icon really looking good yaar ek kaam kar doge plz...mere liye ek icon bna doge mere folder ke liye chahiye aur uspe likhna "DEPY".okay!?
